pita says a farewell to NiP

Faruk "pita" Pita tweeted a farewell letter after he resigned as head coach of Ninjas in Pyjamas on CS:GO. He said that it was difficult for him to leave the team with which he had experienced one of the best periods of his life, and also apologized publicly to Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund for the decision to expel him.

Today ends an almost 2 year run for me with NiP. My dream when I joined was to help the team win trophies, get back into the major circuit and eventually win a major again. I failed on almost all of my goals and for that I take full responsibility for. There’s no one else to blame except for me.

It’s sucks that I have to leave, I’m not going to lie. Me saying something else would be bullshit, but I respect the decision 100% and I wish NiP the best of luck, especially the players. I had one of the best times of my life with these guys. I really wished to be along side the players when they succeeded in what they loved doing.
And now knowing that I won’t stand there beside them is really rough because I know they will win one day, they are good people and good things happens to good people. Also they are warriors and warriors do not give up. I’m going to miss every single one of them as well as I’ve missed all the other players I’ve had the opportunity to work with these two years. Even though previous players had to leave due to professional reasons, that doesn’t mean they weren’t good people because all of them were.

I’ll take away good and bad memories with me. Some that I’m proud of and some that I’m not so proud of. I’m mostly proud of gambling on getting Plopski to the team. He turned out to be a great fit both on and off the server. He has a bright future and I believe he will be around for a long time.
There are a lot of things that I’m not proud of. The biggest of them was how I handled the removal of GeT_RiGhT from the team. I might go into detail about that on a later stage. I apologized to him in personal but I’d also like to take the opportunity to do it now in public. Chris, you are a great guy and deserve the best in life.

Lastly I just want to thank everyone who supported me. My career hasn’t been the easiest and I’ve had a lot of obstacles on my way, if you’ve been around you know what I’m talking about. I’m not complaining but that’s just my reality. To those who’ve supported and believed in me I just want say thank you from the bottom of my heart. When things felt shit and life at sometimes felt worthless, having people supporting you helps you to keep on fighting and understanding what’s important in life.
And to all of you who were not supporting me I also want to say thanks. You fueled me to become better and I appreciate you even if it might sound weird but I really mean it.

I’m not sure what’s next for me. If I’ll be back or if this is the end for me in the game I’ve played since 2001. No matter what I just want to say thanks to everyone and also all the good people from all around the world that I’ve met!
