Kjaerbye Is Taking a Break

Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye took a break from the competetive scene indefinitely due to health issues. This has been reported on the official website of the Danish club.

"Over the last couple of months, I have experienced abdominal pains, breathing problems and chest cramps, in such manner, that I have had problems playing the game, I love, on the highest level.

I have come to a point, where I need to listen to my body, and give it time to recover fully. I don’t know when I will be back on the server but I do know that I need a break. I want to thank my family, fans and the North team and management for support and understanding,”
says Kjaerbye.

According to the announcement made by North, the permanent replacement for the 22-year-old Danish will be introduced later today. Coach Jimmy "Jumpy" Berndtsson was forced to take fifth place in recent games.

The closest tournament for North will be DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, which will be held from May 19 to June 14. The Danish team was seeded to the same group as Astralis, G2 and Heroic.
