OG add niko

OG has announced the signing of Nicolaj "niko" Kristensen, who played for the team as a stand-in for DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 and ESL Pro League Season 13. The 22-year-old Dane transferred from Heroic, where he had been on reserve since February 26 this year.

Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen:

“I’m happy to announce that I have signed for OG. It’s an amazing opportunity for me and I’m sure we’re going to achieve great things together. Also, I want to say thanks to Heroic for the memories and time together, I’m going to miss my previous team mates, but I’m also excited to open a new chapter of my career and join the OG ranks. I will do my best to make OG-fanbase proud!”

In his last official OG matches, Christensen replaced Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt who was dismissed from the first team due to a disagreement with his teammates. Later on, Issa "ISSAA" Murad also left the team, with no replacement announced at this time.

Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen:

“When we realised Nikolaj was available, he jumped to our top candidate for the team. Valde and Casper had a lot of insights on him already so it made the decision easier for us. In a short amount of time he has really impressed me, especially with how selfless he is and how he communicates with the team. Even though we have a lot to work on, our first task is to try our best in the EPL Groupstage. Let’s get it.”

Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså:

“I’m really happy we got the chance to have Niko on our team. He brings a lot of good vibes and he’s also a really good teamplayer to have but can also add to the individual level of the squad. He also has a lot of experience from his previous teams, so in my opinion it’s a perfect match and I look forward to start grinding tournaments with him!”

The next tournament for the revamped OG roster is the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021. The $162,500 competition and slots for the league's spring season finale will take place April 13-18.
